In order to dial in on my Mac, I have to go to Apple, system preferences and reconfigure the settings to external modum and input all the information. Why? Since Turbo disconnects constantly, it is really a pain to have to do this everytime. Oh, and it takes 3 times longer to connect than on my PC. Any ideas? Ive timed it. Its not an old phone line. And, I cant even write an email without loosing the connection.

I also have a MAC - and now I do not even use it at home, because I have dial-up(it is all I can get here) and like you said... It is a pain to change all those settings on the MAC to get on dial-up. The reason it is so, is that the MAC is so far advanced from dial-up, which is archaic, but it put that option in for us, just in case we were in some backwards place and needed dial-up for a connection - but it is really set up for wireless - and high speed.

I am so glad to hear that someone else has the same problem. We only moved a mile away and ended up in the "dead zone". Hughes is the onely alternative. What a joke! Wireless is the way to go but my Mac (desktop) does not have the port. Any suggestions. Thanks for replying, leppo. Didnt know anyone read this forum!

CHHO, I am not puter savvy - did not know you needed a port for wireless. My MAC is the Notebook and I take it with me to facilities on my work - they all have WI-Fi and I just get online... ah, how nice.Maybe one day our phone system (AT&T) will upgrade our lines here so we too can get fast line!I feel so discriminated against! But have had much less trouble at home since I got TurboUSA. Good luck to you! (lepoo)
