The new layout for the news topics announcements is no good. Two lines taken up by headline and dateline, then next line(s) taken up by a repeat of the headline and dateline with place and author, then two or three words (sometimes seven) that do nothing to flesh out the headline to show whether it would be worth the long wait on my dialup while AP's advertisers' intrusions are loaded (can be many minutes long wait). Go back to old format: headline, dateline, and two or three lines of story intro. Hey, TurboUSA, maybe do a poll on this?

That's actually the way it's supposed to be (headline, date, couple lines of summary text), but I recently found a bug that would cause problems if you've changed any of your feed panel settings. I've applied a fix, but it doesn't help with existing settings - you will have to redo your settings. There's a button on the settings page to reload the default panel settings, start fresh from there and redo your changes.

Also, the "Show Summary" selection, if disabled, would also cause those couple lines to not show.

Speaking of polls, when are we going to be able to do a poll here?
