Here's the thing folks at the other forum there is constant smearing of the dems, left, etc, I am not talking normal debate but constant bad mouthing or name calling when the dems have said nothing to them to cause a rebuttal. Here is my point, why? is it because they feel threatened by the dems or is it because there is not enough to back their hatred and scorn of the dems so they have to make up names and abuse about them? Here are some examples from the extremists:

"Dumbest Democrats of the Day Award!!!" (this is current at the moment)

"15 Things That Even Liberals Should Be Willing To Admit
Written By : John Hawkins"

"LEFT WING PRESS IS KEEPING PERRY OUT OF THE PICTURE!!!"

"Plain and simple, DNC WANTS VOTER FRAUD."

And on it goes, I guess if the dems spoke up it wouldn't be so bad but they don't as they have been brow beaten and mostly have left. Or perhaps they will not stoop so low as hate and name calling. The ones that respond to the hateful posts are like kind, there are only two that remain in defense and they are very seldom posting these days.
It is just to bad that all dems are lumped in as all the same. We are all people not dems or repubs. I take offense to the abuse dished out by the repubs on that forum and it is not because I am a dem, I vote for the man not the party. It is not an adult thing to do. There is good and bad in both parties. Are there no adults to carry on a civil debate about the pros and cons of......?

EXAMPLE:
"Dumbest Democrats of the Day Award!!!"
Please gather up all of the examples of really dumb blunders and statements of the Democrats and their most loyal devotees, and post them here!

(Dems in Copper, go start your own thread... have fun with that.)

Nomination for the dumbest Dem of the Day Award goes to 'Occupy' protesters in IA, who actually do have a unified goal. They want Obama to cut the U.S. military budget in half and 'dismantle the U.S. military empire' to create jobs.

These BOZOS actually do BELIEVE this will help the unemployed!!!

http://hosted.ap.org/dyn...ME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT

Do they actually have NO idea how many more MILLIONS, TENS OF MILLIONS, of people would be unemployed by a stunt like this?!?!

Start off with half of the military... and then half of all the civil service people in support functions... and for every 1 person on active duty, I have read that there are about 10 people in some type of private employment, serving the military in one function or another. Everyone from the people who build helicopters, to the mom-and-pop businesses which serve the military both on posts and nearby off-post businesses. See half of all those mom-and-pop businesses shut down. And half of all of the shippers who ship goods to the military, even here.

If half of the military were cut, just off the top of my head, I'd bet that would DOUBLE the number of people unemployed!

But these 'Occupy' clowns actually think that would 'help create jobs'. Where do all of these 'Occupy' people come from, some 'sheltered workshop'... or are these the ones who were not smart enough to work in a 'sheltered workshop'.

NOT ENOUGH POSITIVE THINGS TO DO IN YOUR LIFE??

wchan22 - "Get back on your meds". Now, now. Play nice.
4peta - "Plain and simple, DNC WANTS VOTER FRAUD." The Democrats are making an awful lot of noise objecting to states' requirements for picture I.D. to vote.
Without such a requirement, your neighbor, who disagrees with you politically could go into the polling place with only a utility bill in your name, plucked from your trash, to identify herself as you, then go in again, later in the afternoon, and presenting her own I.D. vote for her candidate again. When you went in to vote, you would be advised that you had already voted, and that trying to vote twice could get you arrested.
This is only one of many mechanisms to commit vote fraud that the picture I.D. requirement is designed to prevent, and the Democrats who are screaming "RACISM" know it. Can you think of some reason other than a desire to commit vote fraud that would explain the Democrat's objection to a picture I.D. requirement? If so, I would love to hear it.
- "Dumbest Democrats of the Day Award!!" Congressman John Lewis from Atlanta, who thinks that if you put too many people on an island, it might capsize, should get this award for Lifetime Achievement.
- "15 Things..." Haven't read it, can't comment. Can you provide a link?
- "LEFT WING PRESS..." Sounds like a Perry supporter, who should actually be happy, considering how the LWP treated Cain.
I can certainly understand your distress at reading the ranting fulminations of the political opposition. Civil discourse is not only more pleasant, it's more productive.

Warning This May Be Offensive To Some People! Read At Your Own Risk!
I agree that both parties have difficulty in making good, sound, judgements on how to advance our country as a whole because of the squeaky wheel syndrome, (squeaky wheel gets the grease) and the greed and corruption of both politicians and career (deadbeat) families on the goverments (peoples) payroll.

The programs set up to assit people during hard times has risen dramatically since its creation, and is being abused even more today. We house felons, educate them, fix whatever ails them, give them subsidy when they get out of our prisons and yet it is unthinkable to make them actually work (on infrastructure, roads, trash detail, etc.) to pay for a crime they commited with a concious decision. Each person that sits at home and draws a check from the goverment and isn't retired should be made to make a contribution to clean up this society (aka, help at the food banks, pick up trash, enter information) to free up more time for constructive people, to better our Great Country.

The occupy protestors have a very similar agenda (or seem to) as the ones in other countries where they have sucessfully overthrown their goverments only to have it replaced (in some instances) by the Muslim Brotherhood. They was supported by our goverment and unions, which came from the taxes of people of this country. Thus adding to our 15 trillion dollar deficit. WoW! That sounds alot like what is happening right here right now. America Be Very Careful As We Can Not Hold An Election During A Time of Civil Unrest. (Executive Power)

When it comes to cutting the Military, It is my understanding that it isn't a cut at all, only a reduction in the amount of money the goverment had promised them over the next ten years. There will be people retiring, opting out early, and other unforseen calculations in the overall picture as time goes on. I really don't think the goverment should be spying on its citizens, (which would save a few million) or flying Drone Missles across the U.S. as this will put our vetrans in a situation to where many will revert back to a life they are trying to forget. But we all only hear partial truths and partial lies leaving it to us to separate the sugar from the _hit.

The goverment needs to be Downsized as it is regulating almost every aspect of our lives, our companies, our freedom, our kids future, without any consideration of what the results will be. Companies needs less regulation to inspire growth and prosperity, Individuals need to be secure in their own homes without fear of speaking what they believe, If someone commits a crime, they should be held accountable, thru labor, not a vacation. Free entilement isn't free it cost's all of us, so there should be a return on our investment.

It is my opinion that if we continue down this destructive road created by corrupt greed we will see the day when each of us will sacrifice the values and freedoms that has been defended sucessfully since our founding fathers created this marvelous way of life.

Fact: 25% of todays youth will be arrested as compared to 20% in the sixties! Figure in the population of then compared to now and it will astound you!

15 Things That Even Liberals Should Be Willing To Admit
Written By : John Hawkins

Sometimes you have to wonder whether conservatives and liberals are just talking past each other. Do we really agree on more issues than we think? I decided to find out by putting together 15 statements, all of which are really nothing more than utterly unremarkable notations of the obvious. I am curious to see whether the liberals here at Huffington Post would be willing to admit in the comments that all of these statements are not only true, but fairly uncontroversial. Maybe we agree on more than we think.

15) That the Occupy Movement has broken more laws and been much more violent than the Tea Party Movement.

14) That If we can ask people to present an ID to buy alcohol, drive a car, or get on an airplane, then it’s no great burden to ask people to present an ID if they’re doing something as important as voting.

13) That increasing taxes, adding expensive regulations, and demonizing businesses hurt economic growth.

12) That for whatever flaws it may have, America has done more good for the world and is still doing more good for the world than any other nation in world history.

11) That opponents of abortion are primarily motivated by the fact that they think a child is being killed during an abortion and thus, they feel they’re morally obligated to speak out.

10) That a machine is more likely to accurately count votes than human beings, who have a reason to try to slant the totals because of their political affiliation.

9) That Communism is an evil comparable to, if not worse than, Nazism.

8) That a lot, if not most, of the charges of “racism” that are thrown around in the political sphere are done so for the sake of politics, not because people actually believe there’s any racism occurring.

7) That the life of a human being is more important than that of an animal.

6) That Fox leans to the right while ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, and MSNBC lean to the left.

5) That Bush never had any intention of implementing a draft.

4) That Bush was right about the surge turning the tide in Iraq.

3) That conservative policies, mostly opposed by liberals, led to the collapse of the Soviet Union and American victory in the Cold War.

2) That the Left’s opposition to drilling in ANWR and other places in the U.S. has driven up the cost of gas.

1) That at best, Barack Obama has been ineffective at turning around the economy and at worst, his policies have made it worse.

This was originally posted on the Huffington Post ."

BTW, THANKS PG, CHIVALRY ISN'T DEAD:) THIS IS WHY I LEFT COPPER, THEY CAN'T DEBATE WITHOUT GETTING ABUSIVE. NOT MANY ADULTS THERE.
