There’s allot of misinformation here. Marijuana isn’t physically addictive. No one in the history of mankind has ever died from using MJ. The New England journal of

Medicine says someone would have to consume 5lbs of MJ in 5 minutes or less to kill themselves and even then their not sure. It’s impossible to smoke that much in the

time alloted. I use it to elevate my mood so that I’m better able to cope with my life as it is. If I’m not bothering anyone why can’t I use marijuana to help me

cope? Would you deny a person who’s bedfast something that makes daily life more bearable?

I’m in total agreement. The people arguing against marijuana are, at best, uninformed upon the truth about it. Disinformation has surrounded this herb (yes it’s an herb, not a devil weed with roots in hell), and unfortunately alot of people never question it. I use it, and love it. I’m functional, I don’t use harder drugs, yet if I’m caught with it, it’s jail time. The system is broken, God doesn’t condemn me for using it, so the gov can go jump off a bridge.

Wait a minute why would anyone BUY pot if they GROW it themselves. Legalizing it would not lead to any money since any dumby could and would grow it in there front room. I grew up in a family where My older sinlings smoked it and all my older cousins did. Thankfully us younger ones saw what it did to them and have stayed away fom it. I grew up in a Larger family and Extended Family. I have 9 Aunts and uncles on one side and I think the same on my dads. I know every one who uses Pot and Only Pot and they are all going nowhere. Seeing as how most of that Bunce has hit there 50’s I doubt they ever will. Just talking to them you realize the lights are not really even on. I know several who think they are doing great. but in reality they have gotten as far as they ever will. Bringing up Phelps is a joke as he is NOT a regular user. If he was he would have been busted in testing at some point. The OLYMPICS do not play around. UNLESS of course your a Chinese Gymnast and the Olympics happen to going on inside your country. I think the reason they sided with the Chinese is those Olympic officials were probably threatened in some way. I mean in a Comunist country wher those who discent vanish without a trace.

Tobacco is easily grown, but how many cigarette smokers do you see growing that? No offense but maybe you 2 are hanging around the wrong types of people. The poor folks around here smoke, but they’re not poor because of MJ. They’re poor because they were raised in that mentality, can’t work, or can’t find good employment. If MJ caused that then it must also have caused alot of people to succeed. I’m talking teachers, white collar types, social workers, State employees, lawyers, doctors, etc. Maybe the difference is moderation? Some people can use responsibly, some do not. Legalization, or decriminalization, would lower the rate of users anwyays, as Holland is an example of this. Phelps is a regular user. No one takes bong hits unless they know what they’re doing, especially out of a high dollar piece of glass such as the ROOR is. Instead of looking at the users you know, look at the ones you may not, I’m sure you are surrounded by them.

Most of those people don’t know anything. There was one guy on one of your posts who actually knew what he was talking about.

I’m not angry, but it’s hypocritical for someone to say marijuana is bad, but caffeine, alcohol, or nicotine is ok.

Wait a minute Caffeine, alcohol can be bad if you use them alot. Nicotine I would never defend. But none of them alter your minds. A little wine is good for the stomache and well Caffeine in pop or coffee can give you a little boost.

They all alter perception. Alcohol is good for the system, in moderation, yet it still alters perception. Cannabis is the same way, it’s beneficial in may ways, but it does alter perception. Foods you eat alter your perception wether you realize it or not. I’ve read nothing in the Bible to lead me to the conclusion that it forbids cannabis, on the contrary it gives us the liberty to use any plant upon the earth.

If your stance is that marijuana is set in some psychoactive class by itself, then you must also condemn medications. All depression, anxiety, and schizo medicine is psychoactive. All your opiate-based anesthesia’s are also. So if your sole reason is it’s psychoactive you cannot, Biblically, separate cannabis from any of those other substances.

You know my thoughts. Like many different plant compounds that are reputed to cure cancers most of them also carry a possibility of causing cancer. Most, if used wisely are completely safe, but abused or taken in incorrect dosages can cause problems or sometimes fatalities. I still have seen no concrete evidence (since it has been the prerogative of the Fed Gov to ban marijuana studies) that marijuana is anymore harmful than chewing gum...actually chewing gum (which most has aspartame) is much more harmful.
