Q: IF SALVATION IS ONLY THROUGH JESUS, HOW DO THE PEOPLE WHO CAME BEFORE JESUS AND DIED BEFORE JESUS GAIN SALVATION?

WHILE JESUS BODY WAS IN THE TOMB .. HE WENT TO THOSE PEOPLE AND PREACHED HIS GOSPEL TO THEM ..

Q-If he was 3 days in hell how could he be in paradise with the thief?

reread the condition of the poor man who had died .. he was being comforted ..
now .. God's word is intact .. however translators have chosen poor definitions at times .. the Greek word "paradeisos" us used .. this word is only used 4 times in the NT ..
THIS IS WHERE THE ANGELS ARE ..
Mat 22:30 "For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.
The Greek word "ouranos" is used .. this word is used 274 times in the NT
therefore according to the parable Jesus gave us, we go to "paradeisos" if we belong to Him and wait (in comfort) until the Judgement Day that Jesus describes in Mat 25 .. when those on the right he tells to join Him in "ouranos" ThumpUp
Mat 25:34 "Then the King will say to those on His right, 'Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
also notice the rich man went to "hades" .. which is also a place of waiting .. hades and hell are NOT the same thing and use diffrent Greek words as well ..
according to the bible the anti-Christ and the false Prophet are the 1st to enter Hell (at Jesus 2nd coming)(1st harvest) .. Satan is next (at the end of millenium reign)(2nd harvest) .. then those on the left on Judgement Day who did NOT obey God's will for them ..

Hell is in the center of the earth. In Luke 16 there is a description. In the center of the earth there where three areas before the cross. Hell, Abrahams Bossom and Paradise. Hell a place of temporary torment until the Great White Throne judgement and then "outer darkness". Abrahams Bossom where the righteous seed of Abraham will remain until God restores Israel. Paradise which contained those who where saved by obeying their conscience and accepting YHWH in accordance to His promised revelation to them in Romans 1. Christ was with the saved sinner in Hell/Abrahams Bossom/Paradise in the center of the earth and took Paradise with him to the outer courtyard of the temple in the third heaven at his ressurection. All this can be found by studying God's perserved and purified word, the 1611 AV.
