They have installed a thing called Carrier IQ in over 140 million smart phones which counts every keystroke, phone numbers, and the use of your phone. It can't be turned off and the company says it doesn't keep the information gathered (how mwny times have we heard that). Also free television is on the chopping block and our computors and phones are monitered because of our Homeland Security Act. The cartoon wouldn't surprise me, I will use all my God given talents to try and acheive his purpose for me. But then I grew up in a very different era.
"Where it Was Life Before The Computer"
Memory Was Something That You Lost With Age
An Application Was For A Job Interveiw
A Program Was A Television Show
A cursor used Profanity
A Hard Drive Was A Long Roadtrip
A 3 1/2 floppy, You Hoped No one Found Out

Touche' I am 68 years old and my son gave me a computer a few years back. I had to learn what little I know from trial and error. Mostly error. But they are amazing. This one is windows 98 with windows XP upgrade. Memory is almost gone but it keeps on truckin'.
Your definitions are funny but true. I remember when our first form of communition was a rotary telephone. No such thing as a private conversation. On top of very short cords you always had a party line and they would listen to your calls and visa versa.
Phones are way too complicated these days for me unless somebody can get them to cook and clean.

I truly miss some of the simpler times. Even tho a lot of things were less convienient they were more personal. People cared more about each other and were more willing to help in times of need. Progress is wonderful in many ways but when it takes away the personal contact that one human being has with another it makes for a cold, cold world.
